Chicken Popcorn

Better make this delicious-famous chicken popcorn than buy it at the fast food restaurant. At least you know what ingredients you use.



Quantity for 4 servings
500 g Chicken fillet, rinsed and cubed
2 clove Garlic, grinded with 1/2 tsp salt
1 whole Lime, squeeze the juice
235 g All purpose flour
10 tbsp Corn starch
4 tsp Baking powder
3 tsp Salt
1 tsp Ground black pepper
1 tsp Chili powder, optional
3 cup Cooking oil
50 ml Cold water


1Marinade chicken with lime juice, grinded garlic for about 30 minutes.
2In a large bowl, mix 80 gr flour, 4 tbsp cornstarch, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt, pepper and cold wate. Mix well. Add more water if it is too thick.
3Meanwhile in other large bowl, mix the rest of flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
4Coat the chicken into the batter then roll into the dry flour mixture evenly. Set aside.
5Heat oil in a fry pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and fry until crispy and golden brown. Remove and drain.
6Serve immediately with you favorite sauce.
