Quantity for 4 servings
|500 g||Chicken fillet, rinsed and cubed|
|2 clove||Garlic, grinded with 1/2 tsp salt|
|1 whole||Lime, squeeze the juice|
|235 g||All purpose flour|
|10 tbsp||Corn starch|
|4 tsp||Baking powder|
|1 tsp||Ground black pepper|
|1 tsp||Chili powder, optional|
|3 cup||Cooking oil|
|50 ml||Cold water|
1Marinade chicken with lime juice, grinded garlic for about 30 minutes.
2In a large bowl, mix 80 gr flour, 4 tbsp cornstarch, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt, pepper and cold wate. Mix well. Add more water if it is too thick.
3Meanwhile in other large bowl, mix the rest of flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
4Coat the chicken into the batter then roll into the dry flour mixture evenly. Set aside.
5Heat oil in a fry pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and fry until crispy and golden brown. Remove and drain.
6Serve immediately with you favorite sauce.
