Quantity for 4 servings
500 g Bread flour
200 g Potato, steamed or boil, mashed and let cool
75 g Unsalted butter
11 g Dried yeast
50 g Powdered milk
100 g Caster sugar
0.25 tsp Salt
4 Egg, use the yolk only
100 ml Cold water
3 cup Cooking oil


1Combine flour, sugar, powdered milk and yeast in a bowl and mix well.
2Add in the egg yolks, mashed potato into the bowl. Gradually pour cold water to the flour and knead the dough until smooth.
3Add in butter and salt and knead again until elastic and smooth. Let rest the dough for about 20-30 minutes, covered with kitchen towel so the dough will not become dry.
4Remove the kitchen towel and press the air in the dough down. Shape your dough into donut or you can use the donut mold instead.
5Let rest the donut for about 20-30 minutes.
6Heat oil in a pan over low heat and fry donut until brown.
7Remove from the pan and let cool. Sprinkle extra sugar on top of your donut or you can use any topping you like.
